Engineered Stone Benchtops

Engineered Stone or Quartz benchtops are manufactured from 90% natural quartz and a mix of various other materials. As it is manufactured it is easy to understand why it is often a preferred choice due to his durability, being non-porous and highly resistant to heat, scratches and stains.

It suits a more modern, contemporary kitchen. Where you can transfer a hot pan from the stove to the benchtop to rolling out dough on it.

Although it is more expensive than laminate, it does add value to your property and is a positive selling point for any home.

Natural Stone Benchtops

Granite and Marble benchtops come in a variety of colours and textures. Because these are natural materials, no two benchtops are ever the same. Granite is a harder material than marble, and its pattern is much tighter.

Caesarstone® requires very little maintenance to keep the surface looking like new. For every day, routine cleaning of Caesarstone® we recommend wiping the surface with warm soapy water (a mild detergent) and a damp cloth or alternatively use our Caesarstone® Spray Cleaner or Everyday Wipes.

To avoid dulling the surface’s shine, make sure to use a non-abrasive cleaners or cloths.

Caesarstone® is composed of up to 93% natural quartz, providing it with superior hardness and strength. We always recommend using a cutting board to prevent damage to the surface or dulling the knives.

Caesarstone® is heat resistant, however like all stone materials; Caesarstone® can be damaged by sudden and rapid surface temperature changes. A good rule of thumb is that if your hand cannot tolerate the level of heat for more than a few seconds then the heat source is too high. DO NOT PUT HOT COOKWARE DIRECTLY ON THE CAESARSTONE SURFACE. Therefore, we always recommend placing hot pots, oven trays and fry pans directly from the oven or hot plate onto a wooden chopping board or heat trivet. We also recommend that electric fry pans and slow cookers are also used on a wooden chopping board.

Caesarstone® quartz surfaces are virtually non-porous, and you will never have to use a sealer or any other kind of wax.

Caesarstone® is resistant to all kinds of cracks, chips, scratches and stains. However, like most materials, excessive force, high point loads, pressure or heat may cause damage to the surface. Like all surface materials Caesarstone® should be treated with care.

Essastone Benchtops

Routine care and maintenance for cleaning, use small quantities of non-bleach, non-abrasive cleaners together with warm water and a damp cloth or sponge. Liquid spills including fruits, vegetables, food colourings and curries, should be wiped up and cleaned with a mild detergent and water immediately after detection.

Protective trivets and heat pads must always be used underneath cookware such as skillets, saucepans, pots or dishes when removing hot items directly from any heat source (oven cooktop or microwave) and placing onto the Essastone surface.

Prolonged or sudden extreme temperature changes can permanently damage the material which is not covered under warranty. The use of cutting boards and taking care not to drop or move heavy objects on the surface will help to ensure the long-lasting beauty of Essastone. The resilient surface of Essastone benchtops have been designed to withstand normal daily use and, whilst it is resistant to scratches, cuts and chipping, cutting directly on the benchtop surface should be avoided.

Removing difficult spills and stains If normal cleaning procedures do not work on stubborn or dried spills, use a non-abrasive cleaning pad such as a household sponge, along with a common mild cream cleanser or a glass and surface cleaner. Should chewing gum, nail polish, or similar substances adhere to the surface, they can be removed with a plastic scraper. Gently scrape off the substance, then follow the routine cleaning procedures listed above.
